Health & Safety | HS2 | Civil Engineering | Construction | Earthworks

Want to make decisions on site and know the business will back you?

We are searching for an experienced SHE Advisor, HSE Advisor or Health & Safety Advisor to join a major HS2 earthworks and civil engineering project.

Our client is a specialist contractor delivering some of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects. They need someone who combines strong HSE knowledge with something equally important: the ability to communicate, influence and build trust on site.

This is not a desk-based compliance role.

You’ll work alongside operators, supervisors, engineers, project leadership and the client SHE team. You’ll challenge when necessary, explain why things need to change and have the confidence to make decisions.

Make the right call and the business will back you 100%.

THE ROLE

You will:

  • Provide practical SHE advice across site operations
  • Undertake inspections, site tours and audits
  • Review RAMS, Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Deliver inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings
  • Monitor HSE performance and drive continuous improvement
  • Work closely with project leadership and the client SHE team
  • Support ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 compliance

YOU

Your experience could come from major civil engineering, construction, highways, rail or infrastructure. Earthmoving experience is not required.

You’ll hold a NEBOSH General Certificate or above and CSCS Card, with a strong understanding of CDM Regulations 2015. SSSTS/SMSTS would be advantageous.

More importantly, you’ll have presence, credibility and first-class communication skills.

Can you influence people? Challenge constructively? Make the call when it matters?

Then we want to talk. Apply now.
