Principal for North East Planning Consultancy

An exciting opportunity for somebody to join and lead the business as a Principal, inheriting an established planning consultancy with an existing client base, excellent reputation, and substantial financial backing.

Our client was established in 2008 and for nearly 20 years has operated predominantly across the North East of England, preparing and submitting planning applications for a wide range of developments on behalf of its client base.

With the impending retirement of the current Principal, the company has been acquired by P&K Construction Holdings Group, a large and growing group of companies who are active in the development of various large-scale and prestigious commercial, industrial, and agricultural projects.

The new owners are now keen to expand the company’s reach and are seeking a Principal to be the key source of planning advice, grow, guide and oversee the work of others within the practice.

The consultancy has developed a reputation for problem solving and developing innovative strategies to overcome barriers to new development.

Whilst its core client base covers Yorkshire and the North East, it has developed sectoral specialisms in the renewables field which have seen it tackle projects ranging from the south coast of England through to Scotland. In addition to this the company have advised on a number of EIA related projects and has co-ordinated, prepared and submitted applications involving EIA.

In return for taking the lead in running and operating a small team, we can offer a very competitive salary and reward scheme, significant opportunities for career development and progression and the opportunity to play an influential role in the company’s continued growth and success.

A Chartered Town Planner and Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, this role will suit a Principal or Senior Planner with a background in Development Management.
